Surf camp Morocco · Where to stay
Taghazout and Tamraght are the two best-known surf villages in Morocco, a few minutes apart on the Atlantic coast north of Agadir. Most people looking for a surf camp in Morocco end up choosing between them. Here is how they compare, so you can pick the one that suits you.
Taghazout is where Moroccan surfing became famous. The village sits right on the point breaks, with Hash Point in front of the houses and Anchor Point a short walk away. The main street is full of cafés, surf shops and people coming back from the water. It is lively, social and perfect if you want to be in the middle of the surf scene.
Tamraght is a smaller village just next to Taghazout, a little closer to Agadir. Life is slower and the streets are quieter, but you are still only minutes from the same surf spots. Devil's Rock, a beach break with peaks for every level, is about 5 minutes away. It suits people who want to surf every day and relax in a calmer place in the evening.
We have one camp in each village. Camp N1 in Taghazout is steps from Hash Point and a short walk from Anchor Point. Camp N2 in Tamraght is a boutique camp with a quieter, more intimate feel. Both have the same surf camp packages, from €159 for 4 days to €309 for 7 days, with daily surf lessons, yoga, all meals and all equipment included.
Both work well. Beginners usually learn at beach breaks such as Panoramas and Devil's Rock, which are easy to reach from either village. Choose by the atmosphere you prefer.
Only a few minutes by car along the coast road. Surf camps in both villages use the same surf spots.
Not with us: both of our camps have the same packages and the same prices, from €159 for 4 days.
